Kids say and do some of the cutest, most interesting, thought-provoking, and insightful things. Kids fascinate us with their innate wisdom, move us with their unfiltered sensitivity, and brighten our world with the joy and wonder they show for life. Kids open our hearts and our minds to a world worth re-discovering over and over again.
Do you know a kid whose childhood you want to remember forever? Do you know a kid who has said or done something you want the whole world to know about? Come join us in putting a smile on everyone’s face by preserving and sharing the words and deeds of children.
This site is dedicated to all the kids who have touched our lives, the kids whom we love, and the kids we all continue to be at heart.
How It All Began
Dora was about 18 months old when she walked into the bathroom and saw Daddy step out of the shower. After a moment’s pause, with a puzzled expression, she pointed to Daddy’s anatomy and uttered with disbelief, “Bir--dy?!”
Even though that exact word would have never crossed our minds in that situation, it was quite striking that Dora’s logic actually made a lot of sense. She was quite a little scientist, classifying objects based on their observable characteristics and reaching conclusions through deductive reasoning…
We didn’t want to forget this moment or any of her future moments of discovery, new beginnings and milestones, not to mention her wellspring of profound questions, theoretical formulations, philosophical statements, and intricate lines of reasoning. How could we record what we witnessed, and how could we share these quotable moments with our relatives and friends who shared our love for Dora? Was there even a way, perhaps, to share these experiences with other parents around the world, who would appreciate them and in exchange offer quotable moments of their own?
Who We Are
We are a Los Angeles-based couple whose average, earthly world turned celestial when our daughter was born. From the moment she emerged, she filled us with utter delight and wonder. Her coos, moves, stories, hops, skips, wiggles, giggles, candor, insight and beauty captivated us, moved us, and sent us scrambling for a way to capture it all, to remember all of her, and to make sure we wouldn’t forget. We tried writing her words and our reflections in a journal, attempted scrapbooks and memory albums, but too many of her quotables disappeared into the ether before we could catch them. We imagined a better way, a simple, interactive system that would help us to record her best moments, and that would remain a keepsake for her to someday see what all the fuss is about, to know how magnificent she truly is.
We get it. Our time with our kids is precious and fleeting. And so our passion prevails: to provide a platform that enables others to effortlessly capture, share, catalog and store their most cherished memories.
We’re proud and excited to introduce Quotable Kidz.
We get to use it now that our daughter is older, but no less quotable. You get to use it from the start.
